Are you among the many people who suffer from a condition called sciatica?  Sciatica can cause tremendous pain and disability.  It can also significantly affect your ability to engage in normal daily activities.  The good news is that chiropractic can provide safe and natural recovery from sciatica and can help to restore your body's health and mobility.

The Sciatic Nerve

The sciatic nerve is one of the largest nerves in your body.  It runs from your spine, through your pelvis, and down the back of your leg. Because this important nerve travels through so many narrow openings, it is susceptible to being irritated or pinched. Sometimes sciatic pain originates in the lower back where the nerves leave the spinal column and sometimes the nerve can be irritated from the piriformis muscle in the pelvis.

The Chiropractic Approach

Dr. Dale Patrick has been treating patients with sciatica for many years.  When you come to our office, Dr. Patrick will perform a careful examination that will help pinpoint the actual root cause of your pain. However, this might not even be where you're feeling symptoms, as the nerve can be compressed much higher up in your body than where you're feeling the tingling, numbness or pain. Once Dr. Patrick has determined the origin of your symptoms, he will be able to start working to restore the normal function of your spine and sciatic nerve. Removing restrictions or compression on the nerve will start to relieve the symptoms and eventually provide natural recovery from sciatica.

If sciatica is causing pain and restricting your mobility and activities, we encourage you to contact Patrick Chiropractic today at (919) 790-2288.  Our office is conveniently located on Falls of Neuse Road in Raleigh.  We are currently accepting new patients and will get you scheduled as soon as possible.
