Each year as the calendar turns, many of us will have a variety of New Year’s resolutions.  Often these resolutions involve improving our health with exercise, weight loss and eating better.  Although these are worthwhile goals, and I am pleased to discuss them with you, I would also like to encourage you to consider giving attention to your spinal health.

Simply put, the nervous system controls and coordinates all other body systems.  Proper function within the nervous system is required for good health. Spinal misalignments/imbalances (subluxations) interfere with the function of the spinal cord and spinal nerves which results in abnormal function of the nervous system.  When the nervous system doesn't work properly the body is weakened, which can lead to health problems and disease.

The goal of chiropractic care is to restore spinal and nervous system function and improve health!  Often spinal subluxations exist without symptoms or symptoms occur long after your body has been affected. It is wise to have a periodic chiropractic evaluation to screen for subluxation prior to the development of health problems.  Subluxations are often easier to correct when detected earlier as opposed to waiting until there is chronic subluxation or an abnormal postural pattern.

I encourage you to get 2018 off to a healthy start by including chiropractic care in your  New Year's resolution.  Please give our office a call at 919-790-2288 to set up a consultation or spinal evaluation.
