Goodbye Kris, Hello Brooke

You might notice some changes on your next office visit!  Our office manager, Kris, has moved to be closer to her family in Lake Norman.  She is preparing to go back to school in the fall, and we are very excited for her!  Kris was a friendly, positive addition to the practice, and she will be missed.  We wish her the best of luck during this exciting time in her life!

As we say a bittersweet goodbye to Kris, we are happy to welcome Brooke, the new face in the office.  Brooke is from Wake Forest and will be starting school online in the fall to earn her Master’s degree.  She is excited to work here and get to know all of our great patients!

Summertime Muscle Strain Injuries

Most of us enjoy the summer and all the outdoor activities.  There is a great deal of fun to be had, but we also see an increase in muscle strain injuries in the summer.  So remember to always stretch and warm up before engaging in sports or home improvement activities that are not typical.  Also, take care to remain hydrated.  There are a variety of health problems that can result from dehydration and increased risk of muscle injury in on the list!  Drink water or an electrolyte drink regularly during outdoor activity.

Have a great start to your summer!
